Katoen Natie expands its activities in the port of Antwerp by taking over sector partner Mexico Natie. The logistics service provider acquires the 230,000 m2 storage facilities for various goods from Mexico Nation: Luithagen (steel), Altamira (dangerous products), Tijl (packaged goods) and Tampico (food). These 4 warehouses are located on the right bank. On the left bank, Katoen Natie acquires the Blue Star complex, storage space for food and chemistry. In addition, there will also be the terminal 740. A quay of 27 hectares at the Liberation Dock, where they can receive large ships to load / unload containers and other goods, transfer them to rail or inland shipping.

Mexico Natie, which is active as a logistics service provider in chemistry, steel and food, is therefore very complementary with Katoen Natie, which is quite close in terms of location.

Mexico Nation has 150 employees and has an annual turnover of € 65 million.
