Done Deals: Bizztalent / Planet Group

Jan Rombouts, Nick Smeyers and Soheel Latifi sell 85% of the shares of Bizztalent to Planet Group. Together they retain 15% of the shares of the company and will also stay operationally on board.

Bizztalent was founded in 2012 and specializes in outsourcing of IT professionals, mainly helpdesk and infrastructure experts. Bizztalent realizes a turnover of 10 million euros and has 135 employees. The company is based in Antwerp but is active throughout Belgium.

Bizztalent will work closely with IT-Planet, but both companies remain independent of each other in the Planet Group. Due to the acquisition of Bizztalent, Planet Group now has a total of 300 IT consultants.

Planet Group's intention is to grow to a group turnover of 250 million euros in the next 5 years, partly through further acquisitions. The acquisition of Bizztalent is the third in the last year, after the acquisitions of Nurse & Co and Solid Talent.

Planet Group is owned by founder Sam Baro who has a majority of 70% of the shares and the investment fund Creafund which holds 30% of the shares.

Sam Baro is an East Flemish serial entrepreneur who became the owner of AA Gent last year, but who is also active in the media sector, as the owner of the regional TV channel AVS.
